I suggested this place for my book club's anniversary because my college alumni group had a few events there and said the food was good. We must have shown up on a really, really bad day. We had a reservation, but our table was not ready when we arrived. They were out of some things on the menu(boudin and chicken gumbo). There was an advertisement for frozen drinks, but the machines had not been started. We seriously had a discussion about leaving and going to another restaurant, but decided to stay. It took an hour for us to get our drinks and some of our food was cold. Some of the food was not seasoned well. The gumbo was served without crackers and we had to we had to ask for silver ware. Another party was taking place after our dinner and the people came in to set up while we were eating which was disturbing. Our servers were okay, but lacked etiquette. I think this restaurant has some potential, but need alot of work. I will say that the catfish, cajun half chicken, chicken wings and lemonade was good. I think the jury is still out on this one. I just felt really bad because they were other places that were considered for our special day and this place almost ruined it. I don't think I will be going back anytime soon. Hope this helps.

Long wait for your food. Try calling ahead and make sure all of your food is in the bag if your taking it out. Give them 30 - 60 minutes to make your food.
